A very good place with lot of memories packed in the park. There is always something happening in and around the area. Parking is available near by area , paid parking. We went to the park after the bell and visitor center is closed to enjoy the very large lawn space. It is mesmerizing to watch the independence mall from the park lawn and it is wonderfully large park area. Kids can enjoy lawn and it is too within the urban area. Security should not be an issue due to importance of the area. Nighttime lights on different mall area is very good to watch and for photography. May not be suitable for family after 9 pm due to we felt the smell of green stuff. But the tour itself seemed very flatline. For the how important this square is to American history the tour guides didn’t seem to convey this. They take into two rooms. A court room and the assembly room. After the reserved tour. I would recommend experiencing the great essentials building and the capital building as well. With regards to visiting Independence Hall, I strongly suggest you book your time slot in advance. So much history is tucked away in this historic town. Visitors can feel the fabric of American society being woven as they navigate through the relics of time. The new exhibit was stunning – the layout was easy to follow, there was so much to read and learn, and they had a good mix of audio/visual to plain reading. Go at your own pace. If you want to read and watch everything, it will take about 45 min. I recommend the video right before the Liberty Bell, super informative. Also talk to the staff they are friendly and knowledgeable! One fact: this bell is the second, the first had to be melted down and recast many years ago.By Phil Luthman (9 months ago)It was amazing! I visited Philadelphia recently for the Army Navy Game and decided to visit the bell since I was in town. I was pleased to find that visiting the bell was COMPLETELY FREE. Amazing! This was the best vacation I’ve had in a long time. So much to do in Hershey and I didn’t get to do it all but we still had a good time. We went to Hershey park and to chocolate world. Hershey park was really not expensive for the tickets. The food and amenities were expensive but it is an amusement park so that’s to be expected obviously. Altogether we had a great time. We went to the zoo which was by far one of the best and most intimate experiences I’ve had in a zoo. I wanted to go to Amish country but didn’t get the chance. I would recommend everyone to go at least once in their lifetimes because you get to see the history of how everything was made and created. I don’t think I will go again with the kids because we have already seen everything and not much changes up there however, I will take my wife back just to see Amish country. There are more adult things to do there and ways to enjoy yourself. I’ll be posting that review as soon as I’m able to get back up there.
It’s a nice place to be with kids as with any other amusement park. The tickets are not that expensive but probably they need more staff the manage the crowd. Few rides were not working and sometimes even the vending machines and food services kiosks were too slow. Ultimately, we had fun but could have been better. You need at least 3 days to cover all rides and attractions.
This is a really nice park that our family really enjoyed visiting. The park seemed really clean and well staffed. We enjoyed the preview night the two hours before our first night. We rented a cabana for our water park day and it was great. They had their own bathrooms and exclusive grill. We got free soft drinks. The staff for the cabanas would make want to do the cabanas again just for them.

– We went in October during the day, so it was nice to see the Halloween decorations. We left before the evening part, since kiddos don’t like the scary stuff
– Lots of things to see and we didn’t have to wait long for anything
– We really enjoyed seeing the Seal / Sea Lion show and interacting with one afterwards. Staff there were very knowledgeable and friendly.
– Lots of food options and they all smelled wonderful as you walked by. I didn’t think the prices were too bad considering it is an amusement park.
Really cool place to visit. Great rides for all ages. Must check out all the fun things to do inside as well. Try making your own candy bar or tasting all the unique chocolate inspired foods and drinks. Also a must try is the creamery and restaurant located inside the gift shop. Will definitely be back to visit again.
